Mauro Dalla Mura received the laurea (B.E.) and laurea specialistica
(M.E.) degrees in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of
Trento, Italy, in 2005 and 2007, respectively. He obtained in April
2011 a joint Ph.D. degree in Information and Communication
Technologies (Telecommunications Area) from the University of Trento,
Italy and in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University
of Iceland, Iceland.
He is currently a Researcher with the Technologies of Vision group at
Fondazione Bruno Kessler, Trento, Italy, conducting research on
computer vision within the framework of national and international
projects. His main research activities are in the fields of image
processing, computer vision, remote sensing and pattern recognition.
In particular, his interests include mathematical morphology,
classification and multivariate data analysis.
Dr. Dalla Mura was the recipient of the IEEE GRSS Second Prize in the
Student Paper Competition of the 2011 IEEE International Geoscience
and Remote Sensing Symposium 2011 (Vancouver, CA, July 2011).
He is a Reviewer of IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote
Sensing, IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, IEEE Journal of
Selected Topics in Earth Observations and Remote Sensing, IEEE Journal
of Selected Topics in Signal Processing, Pattern Recognition Letters,
ISPRS Journal of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing and Photogrammetric
Engineering and Remote Sensing (PE&RS).
He is a member of the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society
